Brentford and the Golden Mile are London’s New Property Hot Spots

The face of Brentford is changing. Substantial investment into regenerating various parts of Brentford and Hounslow is transforming the region into a new property hotspot.

There is a significant demand for property in the locality with a need to deliver 300 homes in Brentford and a total of 822 in Hounslow Borough each year. As Brentford becomes increasingly desirable, house prices are rising incrementally at a steady rate and planned transport enhancements and further regeneration plans including a £1.85m Brentford regeneration, a new £5.45m marina and a new 20,000 capacity stadium for Brentford F.C., make this a trend that is likely to continue into the following years.

House prices in Hounslow have increased by 48% in the last 10 years and prices in the region are 81% higher than the national average. Hounslow is the fastest growing borough in the country and its expanding population is putting strain on the housing supply further supporting house price growth. The planned link between the Golden Mile and Crossrail may add further strain as commuter times are slashed even further.

A new development, named IconBlu, is coming to Brentford’s Golden Mile. IconBlu sits in Brentford just off the A4 and is adjacent to the Sky studios complex.  This 271 unit development by BYM Capital will provide studio to two-bedroom apartments allocated underground parking for each property, 24-hour security and CCTV, a private porter, a residents’ gym and lushly landscaped grounds. One of the five buildings will be retained as office space.
